Optional Tours
These tours have been designed by Tour Hosts Pty Limited for participating delegates. Only the best aspects of Sydney and its environs have been incorporated to provide value for money for persons whose time is at a premium. All sightseeing tours include the services of a guide, all entry fees and meals where specified. All tours are based on a minimum number of participants. If this number is not reached, alternative places will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of bookings. Where participants cancel their day tour bookings prior to 3 April 2009, payment will be refunded in full. Thereafter, no refund will be made. It is recommended that comfortable shoes and informal dress be worn on all tours.

OT1 Sydney Harbour Coffee Cruise
Date: Departs everyday during the Congress
Time: 10.00am OR 2.00pm
Cost: A$49.00 per person
This is a great way to see Sydney, especially if you have visited the city previously as you can see the city and its landmarks from a different aspect.
Enjoy Sydney’s award winning coffee cruise to spectacular Middle Harbour, which is a must for all visitors to Sydney. See all the main Harbour attractions including the Opera House, Harbour Bridge and Fort Denison. Explore the magnificent upper reaches of Middle Harbour with its natural parklands, inner harbour beaches, marinas and palatial waterfront houses. Morning or afternoon tea is served on board for guests
OT2 Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb
Date: Climbs are available Monday – Friday
Time: Climbs run every 15 minutes Cost: $189.00 per person for a Day Climb (price will increase for night and twilight climbs by approx. $70.00 per person)
In this 3 hour experience, climb to the top a world icon - the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Accompanied by an experienced leader your small team will cross the catwalk to the pylon and walk up to the summit of the Bridge’s upper arch - 130 metres above sea level. Harnessed to a static line for the duration of the climb, be treated to spectacular 360-degree views across one of the greatest harbours’ in the world. Duration: Approx. 3 hours. Transfers not included.

OT3 Sydney Opera House Tour
Date: Tours are available Monday – Friday
Time: Tours run every 30 minutes between 9.00am – 5.00pm
Cost: A$35.00 per person
See inside the world's most recognisable sails. Experience this miracle of architecture and engineering. A work of art that came into existence against impossible odds - to become one of the busiest performing arts centres in the world.
Duration: Approx. 1 hour. Transfers not included.

OT4 Blue Mountains 4WD Adventure
Date: Wednesday 20 May 2009
Time: 08.00am – 5.30pm
Cost: A$270.00 per person
Heading across the western plains of Sydney metropolitan you will make your way to the Great Dividing Range of Australia. It is here that you leave the ‘average’ Blue Mountains tourist behind and enter the National Park to unlock a piece of Australia you would never have known existed.
Visit ancient Aboriginal sites and outstanding lookouts, examine rock formations and the unusual plants and wildlife that abound the area. From the quaint little village of Leura to the famous Katoomba where you will find yourself looking out over the magnificent Jamieson Valley and the Three Sisters.
On this tour you will enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch including a selection of fine Australian wines and cheeses under the canopy of the Australian bush.

Departure Point
All tours (except those listed below) will be departing from the Bayside Foyer, Ground. All participants are requested to assemble 10 minutes prior to the departure of each tour.

Day Tour Terms and Conditions
These tours, designed by Tour Hosts Destination Management (license No. 2TA001144), are for participating delegates of Physicians Week 2009. All sightseeing tours include informative English speaking commentary, all entry fees and meals where specified. Comfortable shoes and clothing are recommended for all tours. For any outdoor tours we recommend that participants bring sun protection cream, sunhat and sunglasses. All tours are based on a minimum number of participants. If minimum numbers are not reached, alternative arrangements or a complete refund will be made. Places on all tours are limited and will be allocated strictly in order of receipt of payment. Where participants cancel their day tour bookings prior to 3 April 2009, payment will be refunded in full. Thereafter, no refund will be made.

A minimum one night’s deposit must be paid or credit card details given at time of booking to guarantee reservation. Bookings made after 9 April 2009 must be secured with credit card details.
