Participation is open to all RACP Fellows, Non-Fellow, Trainees and Life Fellows.  Those who wish to attend Physicians Week 2009 should fill in the online registration form. Website registration is strongly encouraged.

Please note that all persons intending to attend Physicians Week must register, including invited Speakers and Chairpersons.  Please read through this information carefully before you complete the online form.

Payment of Fees

NOTE:  Registrations will not be processed or confirmed until payment in full is received.

Online registration is preferred. Please note all online registrations require immediate credit card payment. If you are unable to pay by credit card please download and fill in the registration form and fax or post this back to the organisers. Faxed or posted registration forms will only be processed/confirmed if credit card details or cheque payment are included with the form.

Payment may be made by cheque or credit card. MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners Club are the only credit cards accepted at Physicians Week 2009. Please note all transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to congress by THPL.

Cheques should be made payable to Physicians Week 2009. Your name and full address should be typed or printed clearly on the back of the cheque. Cheque payments from overseas must be a bank cheque in Australian Dollars drawn on an Australian Bank. No other currency will be accepted.

Cheque payments will only be accepted until 9 April 2009. After this date, all registrations (including accommodation bookings) must be submitted with credit card payment via the online registration form or by calling +61 2 9265 0700. All cheque payments will incur a A$10 processing fee.

You may not pay your fees by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

Acknowledgements

Your registration and payment will be acknowledged via email or post with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if payment does not accompany your form.

You will not receive any further publications before Physicians Week 2009. Your letter of acknowledgment will include any further advice necessary prior to your arrival at the Congress. At the Congress you will receive the final program, the book of published papers/Congress documentation and a list of delegates.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations must be notified in writing to the Congress Managers.

Registration Fees:

  • Before 13 February 2009 will incur an A$100.00 cancellation fee.
  • Before 3 April 2009 will receive a 50% refund of fees paid.
  • After 3 April 2009 there will be no refund.

Accommodation:

  • One nights deposit must be paid or credit card details given at time of booking to guarantee reservation.
  • Deposit is non-refundable at 9 April 2009

Social:

  • Payments are non-refundable at 3 April 2009

Tours:

  • Payments are non-refundable at 3 April 2009

Entry to Physicians Week 2009

Each delegate of Physicians Week 2009 will receive a name badge on registration. The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions. The Congress Managers expect appropriate behaviour from attendees and reserves the right to revoke the badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for Physicians Week 2009 and book your travel you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in Physicians Week 2009, or through cancellation of Physicians Week 2009, loss of international/domestic air fares through cancellation for any reason, loss of tour monies through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services strikes within Australia, failure to utilise tours or pre booked arrangements due to airline delay, Force Majeure or any other reason, medical expenses (including sickness and accident cover), loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. The Congress Managers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.
