RACP President's Invitation
On behalf of the 2009 Physicians Week Organising committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to celebrate the diversity of the College through participation in the College’s annual congress which is now part of
Physicians Week.
Through participation in Physicians Week, the College’s Divisions, Faculties and Chapters, and some of its Specialty Society partners will provide you with a rich variety of educational sessions and also give you access to a wide range of networking opportunities.
The sessions will feature expert national and international speakers in their fields. there will be time within each session for Fellows and Trainees to engage with these experts so that you can get the
best out of each session.
Once again the College’s Adult Medicine Division in partnership with the Internal Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand will present a 2-day program that covers a wide range of general medicine topics and selected specialty updates.
The Paediatrics & Child Health Division will present an exciting 3-day program on paediatrics and child health sessions themed around emergency medicine.
The Faculties of Occupational & Environmental Medicine, Public Health Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine will each deliver a 1 or 2-day program covering a wide range of special interest topics, as well as sessions that will appeal to the broader Fellowship.
The scientific program streams will be supported each day by an education stream.
The trade exhibition will again be an exciting feature of Physicians Week.
I also look forward to your attendance at the College Dinner and at other special interest functions scheduled throughout Physicians Week.
Lastly, please take the opportunity to enjoy our beautiful host city of Sydney and we warmly invite you to drop by the college for a visit.

Congress Dates: 17 - 20 May 2009
Abstract submissions for Physicians Week 2009 have now closed.
Early Registration Closes: 21 March 2009
Accommodation Booking Deadline: 9 April 2009
A minimum one night’s deposit must be paid or credit card details given at time of booking to guarantee reservation. Bookings made after 9 April 2009 must be secured with credit card details.
Abstract Submissions Now Closed
Presenters will be advised of their status during mid-March.
